Assistant Professor Gaurav Bhattarai teaches the Small States and International Organizations to the post-graduate students at Tribhuvan University. He is the Assistant Editor of the Journal of Foreign Affairs, published by the Institute of Foreign Affairs(IFA) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Nepal. His areas of expertise include China Studies, South Asia, Small States, and Critical Security. He has published extensively in academically renowned international journals, including International Politics, Cambridge Journal of China Studies, (Stosunki Międzynarodowe-International Relations), Millennial Asia, Geopolitics Quarterly, Pakistan Horizon, Vestnik RUDN, among others.  He has presented his academic papers in international and regional conferences in Australia (Western Sydney University), China( Sichuan University/ Nottingham University- Ningbo), India( Jawaharlal Nehru University), and Bhutan( Royal University of Bhutan). He has also chaired different sessions of international conferences in China(Nottingham University- Ningbo) and Bhutan (Royal University of Bhutan).  He often writes for the mainstream dailies published in Kathmandu, South Korea, and England including Republica, The Kathmandu Post, Global Asia, IR Info. His new book "Nepal between China and India: Difficulty of being Neutral," is published by Palgrave Macmillan and is available globally.
